Nissan D21 Hardbody Rear Axle Swap - 4.3 Ratio, Welded LSD Diff, Disc Brake Conv. #d21 #drifttruck

Recently installed a Dana 44 rear axle from a Rodeo and proud to announce it works extremely well and fits perfectly into the hardbody with a few modifications. I want to point this out. This rear end has a drastically different gearing ratio, therefore I wouldn’t suggest using this differential in a truck you drive everyday on the interstate. 5th gear cruising at 60 is almost 3000 rpm’s. Not what you’d want to use if you’re driving 100 miles a day. My axle is also welded together for predictability’s sake and it’s not as bad as people say to drive around with a welded diff. That being said, It comes from a 95 Isuzu Rodeo 6cyl 4wd Manual in my case Dana 44 Axle Code G80 Identifier(Found on Vin Tag) Need the following: •Solid Rear Axle Assembly(including all brakes and e-brake cables) •Rear Yoke Piece from the end of the Isuzu Driveshaft(piece that bolts to axle) •E-Brake Handle from Rodeo •must make custom bracket to hold e-brake cables in place for handle •Lug Nuts from Isuzu, Hardbody thread pitch is different Recommend Replacing when doing swap: •Leaf Spring Bushings(Energy Suspension if possible) •All New Grade 8 Hardware •Leaf Spring Collars Reasons it’s desirable(FOR MY BUILD TYPE, to drift) Dana 44: •4.3 Gear Ratio •Disc Brakes •Floor Mounted/ Car Style Parking Brake •LSD(Welded mine in this case for predictability while drifting) •Stronger Ring Gear(Much Thicker and larger) •Rear Diff Access Cover Stock D21 Axle •3.56 Gearing •Drum Brakes👎🏻 •Front Carrier Diff(Must remove driveshaft to check diff) *DISCLAIMER* If your truck has a Load Sensing Valve and you delete it, I highly recommend installing an aftermarket proportioning valve in the brake system or you may experience crazy brake issue or improper breaking pressure. will not be safe in my opinion. Tried to add all the necessary information you could need to do the swap.
