Nochevieja 1997 en Cadena SER 1997 New Year's Eve 1997 on Spanish broadcaster Cadena SER In Spain, it's a tradition to eat twelve grapes on each clock bell strike at Midnight 31 December. You will hear the DJs explaining about the twelve bell strikes (las doce campanadas) and warning each other that the signal and four chimes preceding the twelve strikes are not part of the twelve strikes. So the grapes should only be taken on the bell clock strikes. In 1997, like in other years, Cadena SER joined with its sister stations Los 40 Principales, Cadena Dial, M80 and Radiolé, to make one New Year's Eve show.
