Nimfa Skórzak – Fly Tying Tutorial (pstrąg, brzana)

The leather nymph is a classic artificial fly pattern made from strips of skin, which, when soaked, creates a realistic, translucent larva effect. In this video, I show you step-by-step how to make this nymph from pre-made strips of ferret skin. A complete set of materials for this pattern: 👉https://kn-baitsandflies.com/product-... In this tutorial, I show you a simple and repeatable way to make a leather nymph. This pattern is quick to make and easy to modify by changing the base color. Before use, the leather strips should be soaked in water for about 10-15 minutes – this makes them soft, flexible, and fits well on the body. After winding, you'll achieve the characteristic translucent effect. The color of the foundation is important – fluorescent red, orange, yellow, or green show through the skin more, while more subdued colors create a more subtle effect. It's worth preparing several versions. In the video, I discuss: – preparing the material – building the body with additional weight – winding a skin strip – making a hackle from squirrel dubbing – finishing the fly ⏱ Table of Contents 0:00 Ferret Strip Skin – what I'll be showing 0:50 Soaking the Strips – a key moment 1:02 Materials and dubbing selection 1:37 Hook and nymph weighting 2:10 Backing colors – what really works 3:28 Effect after soaking (various colors) 4:07 Starting the tying – where I start 5:06 Building the body step by step 6:47 Winding the skin – the most important step 9:16 Hackle – how much dubbing to really use 11:47 Finishing and details 12:10 Finished nymph – the final result If you have any questions about this fly pattern or the materials used, please leave a comment.
