Island Lake! Backpacking The Wind River Range!

Hi friends! Come with us as we hike to the very majestic Island Lake in the beautiful Wind River Range in Wyoming! We weren't too sure if we would get to hike to this beautiful lake due to the Dollar Lake Fire happening nearby. BUT the good Lord smiled on us, and we had clear skies the whole time! It was amazing. As always, our hearts and prayers go out to all of those who were affected by the surrounding wildfires that happened last summer. We could see the smoke from Pinedale, Wyoming, and the plume was huge. The day we decided to conquer this awesome trail, it was VERY foggy, and we were basically socked in. We didn't mind, though, since that kept the crowds low, and we had already seen most of the views, including Photographers Point, up to Eklund Lake in the past. This time, we made it roughly 7.5 miles to Hobbs Lake within 4 hours and set up camp for the next two days. On Day 2, we day hiked around 6 miles all the way to Island Lake and back. It was GORGEOUS! We were able to stay at Island Lake for about an hour-long break with a snack spot all to ourselves. It was so lovely! We know we'll be back someday to hike in further to Titcomb Basin, but this time, we were just happy we made it as far as we did. On Day 3, we hiked back out with our hearts full of gratitude! We had just backpacked the Cirque of the Towers a few days prior to this trip, so we were pretty stoked that we were able to do both backpacking trips in one week! And we will definitely be back! The Winds have certainly become one of our favorite mountain ranges in the western United States! In total, we hiked 27 miles on this backpacking trip to Island Lake. We truly hope that you ENJOY the video! We had so much fun taking you along on these two amazing adventures in the Winds! The Bible clearly teaches that the moment a person trusts in Jesus to be forgiven of his sin, he is saved (Acts 2:37-41). He has passed from spiritual death to spiritual life (John 5:24) and has been declared not guilty in God's court of law (Romans 3:21-26). For it is by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). The day of salvation is now (2 Corinthians 6:2). God bless you all.
