Born and connected to the Vistula Spit, he grew up in a place where the sea, wind, and amber were part of everyday life. It was there, in a small family workshop, that his journey began – from simple jewelry forms to monumental works that are now admired in Poland and abroad. Dubbed the "Man of Amber," Ołdziejewski has become one of the most recognizable ambassadors of Baltic gold. His work transcends the boundaries of classical craftsmanship – treating amber not as a decorative material, but as a carrier of history, emotion, and memory. In his hands, fossilized resin transforms into a story about time, nature, and human determination. He holds two Guinness World Records for monumental amber sculptures, including famous works inspired by the maritime history and symbolism of Pomerania. He has also created large-scale artistic projects that have captured the attention of collectors, museum professionals, and media worldwide. His works are found in both private collections and museums. He became known to a wide audience as one of the main characters in the documentary series "Gold of the Baltic," where he revealed not only the secrets of amber exploration and processing, but also the philosophy of life of a man who spent decades building his own world out of passion and hard work. In 2023, his story was recounted in the autobiographical book "Człowiek z amberu," co-written with Sylwia Winnik. Today, Tomasz Ołdziejewski is not only a master of amber, but also a symbol of a man who was able to transform local heritage into art of global significance.
