What is an IQ Score (Intelligence Quotient)?
This video explains the concept of an IQ score (intelligence quotient). IQ scores are generated by some tests used to measure intelligence. One of the most popular IQ tests is the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). The average (mean) IQ score is 100 and the standard deviation is 15. Only 4% of the population will have IQ scores greater than 130 or less than 70 and 68% of the population will have an IQ scores between 85 and 115.
