1965 Ford Mustang GT - Overheating - How to Change Radiator and Thermostat on 65 Ford Mustang
This video will show you how to remove and replace the radiator and the thermostat on a Ford 289-V8. This Mustang overheats when the outside temperature gets over 80 degrees F. I thought it was the radiator but in this case the coolant was leaking from the thermostat housing. The early Mustangs did not have a groove in the thermostat housing to accommodate the thermostat. I have no idea how Ford stopped the coolant from leaking.
