Preparing the land. I milled the soil very well with my motor hoe, Ruris DAC 7000 ACC2. Preserving the raspberry canes from the moment they arrived at my place, when they were delivered by courier, until the day I planted them. I received the seedlings one evening, in the middle of last week, the first night I kept them in the cellar, because the temperatures were below zero at night, and the next day, after I had milled the soil in the garden, I put all the raspberry bushes in very finely ground, like sand, to keep the roots hydrated. Stage 4. Planting the raspberry bushes, hence the title PLANTING RASPBERRIES IN AUTUMN and setting up a RASPBERRY PLANTATION Raspberry bush planting distance: 40 cm. Raspberry bush planting depth: 15-20 cm., maximum. Raspberry row spacing: 160 cm, if for own consumption. In the case of large raspberry plantations, the row spacing should be 2 meters, so that you have access with agricultural machinery between the rows. The distance between the posts, because the raspberries need support on the trellis: between 6-10 meters. The two RASPBERRY VARIETIES planted: Laszka raspberries and Delniwa raspberries. In addition to these, I also have the following varieties in the yard: Glen Ample raspberries, Polka raspberries, Polonez raspberries and a few Cayuga raspberries. I will talk about REMONTANT RASPBERRY, the one that bears fruit on 1st year wood, and NON-REMONTANT RASPBERRY, that is, raspberries that bear fruit only on 2nd year wood, in a future video. Stage 5. Watering the raspberry bushes after planting. Immediately after planting, each plant should be watered with at least 3-5 liters of water. If it doesn't rain at all in the first week after planting, a few days after the first watering, water again to ensure that the raspberry stalks will take root as much as possible. Stage 6. Shortening the raspberry stalks after planting. It is ideal that the stalks be shortened to about 10-15 cm. from the ground level, so that, in the spring, the plant's energy is concentrated in the root and the new shoots that will emerge from the ground.
