JALUR REL KERETA KEMATIAN - Monumen Soco ke PG Rejosari Magetan part 2

I personally traced part of the sugar factory train's decauville route, which was once used to pull the death train (Kertapati) cars carrying victims of the Madiun Incident of September 1948. The route ran from the Soco Monument to the Rejosari sugar factory in Goranggareng, Magetan. I also tried to trace the decauville (sugar cane) route using an old map from 1944. The Kertapati Carriage Monument in Soco Village, Bendo District, Magetan, East Java, is a reminder that these freight cars were once used to transport 108 victims of the kidnapping and murder by the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) in September 1948. The victims' bodies were thrown into a well. Since 1989, a monument has been erected over the former well, commemorating some of the victims of the atrocities committed by the PKI and FDR rebels at that time.
