Welcome back! This week we head to Buchan, Victoria with our Next Gen Ford Ranger towing the Network RV caravan for another epic Aussie camping adventure. We set up at a donation campground beside a beautiful freshwater creek before heading out to explore some of the region’s hidden gems. First stop is Wilsons Cave, an unmarked cave near Buchan with serious adventure potential. Bryce climbs down first before Chelsea finds another entry point and joins the exploration. Deep tunnels, claw marks, tight spaces and plenty of surprises made this one unforgettable. Next we visit Basin Creek Falls, where we send the drone up for a bird’s-eye view before tackling the walk down to the waterfall and stunning lookouts over the Snowy River. The walk back up definitely tested the legs! No trip to Buchan would be complete without visiting the famous Buchan Caves, so we jump on a guided tour through Royal Cave. Incredible limestone formations, narrow squeezes and massive chambers made this one a highlight of the trip. After waking to rainy weather, we hit the road through Bairnsdale for supplies and chores before setting up at Fishermans Retreat, a peaceful free camp beside the Avon River. No fish this time, but the sunset decks were unreal. We finish the trip back on the coast at Golden Beach, grabbing a sweet stop at Big Bears Donuts in Sale before finding a great overnight spot at the 48hr rest area.
