AVUS Circuit: 100 Years of Germany's Craziest Racetrack

Berlin's Avus is Germany's oldest and fastest racetrack and the prototype autobahn, where pre-war racers could reach up to 400 km/h! With two huge straights and an insanely steep bend called the Wall of Death, the Avus was one of the most unusually designed circuits in the world. It was inaugurated 100 years ago in September 1921.
