Ever since the first astronaut went into space, children everywhere have dreamed of joining them. Here's a great project that will be a surefire hit with those young adventurers! This pattern was inspired when my 7 year old son came home and informed me that he needed to go to school dressed as an astronaut. Tomorrow. And so, in the wee hours of the night, the foam astronaut helmet was born! I was really impressed with how quick it came together and how great it looked when finished, so I tweaked the pattern, and now it is available for you. If you are a bit crafty, this project should be relatively straightforward, with a construction time of around 2 hours not including painting.
