Our First RV Camping Trip... We Made Some Rookie Mistakes

After months of researching, buying, setting up, and preparing our new Cougar 26LBW travel trailer, we finally took it on its very first camping trip. For our first shakedown trip, we stayed close to home at Walnut Ridge Campground so we could learn how everything worked before taking longer adventures. Some things went better than expected. Towing was easier than we thought, the dogs adjusted well to RV life, and our new Blackstone griddle quickly became a favorite part of the experience. Of course, we also made a few rookie mistakes along the way. From filling a gray tank much faster than expected to dealing with a water leak and a few other surprises, this trip taught us a lot about RV ownership. In this video, we're sharing the real experience of what happened during our first weekend camping in the Cougar. If you're new to RVing, hopefully our mistakes can help make your first trip a little easier. 🚐 RV: 2026 Keystone Cougar 26LBW 🚛 Tow Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5L EcoBoost 🐶 Camping Crew: Scarlett & Brutus If you enjoy following our journey toward RV life on nights and weekends, please consider subscribing and joining us for future adventures. #RVLife #TravelTrailer #Cougar26LBW #FirstRVTrip #Camping #RVLiving #KeystoneCougar #F150Towing #BlackstoneGriddle #RVNewbie
