Best Songs For "Altos"//But Are You Really A Mezzo or Contralto?

The term alto for a female singer usually just refers to someone with a low voice and usually with a strong chest voice that can project. But "altos" more specifically should be categorized by either the terms mezzo-soprano or contralto depending on how high or low their range is. The classic Broadway female singers that belt the big notes are usually mezzo-sopranos, contralto singers are more uncommon and have heavier and deeper smoky tones to their voice. This is a list of songs in musical theatre that vary between those ranges.
