Cold Weather ATV Camping in Autumn: Winter Comes Early in the High Country

I head into the Santa Fe National Forest for an overnight solo ATV camping trip above 11,000ft in northern New Mexico. Camping in autumn is a beautiful time of year to explore the outdoors when the leaves are changing colors, the weather is finally cooling down, and the smell of the forest has a rich woody aroma.
