Kausarnag lake trek | Aharbal to Kongwattan | Day 1 | #kashmir #alpinelakes

We went on a trek to Kausarnag lake , which is the second biggest alpine lake of Kashmir. We drove from Srinagar to Aharbal, a 63 km road taking a couple of hours, through Shopian. Upon reaching Aharbal it is advisable to make entry at army camp to make them aware of your trip. You will need a valid I'd card to make the entry. we parked our Car in Gurwattan and Begin our Hike for Kongwattan. Kongwattan is a 7 km hike from Gurwattan. We put all our camping essentials on ponies and begin our hike. It took us three hours to reach Kongwattan. The hike was really beautiful.
