Jacques Herbin - Noir Abyssal - Ink Profile

In this video I review Jacques Herbin - Noir Abyssal - from the Standard Full Line of their Premium Fountain Pen Ink Collection. The sample was sent to me free of charge from The Goulet Pen Company with no request to review it. All opinions are mine! This is a nice basic black ink that is well behaved! We look at how this ink looked in 3 nibs on 4 paper types plus I show you chromatography & water test/bath results. Toward the end of the video I try out the Nick Stewart technique on this ink. This was my first review of a black ink. Early on in my fountain pen hobby journey, I got Noodler's Heart of Darkness in a 4.5 ounce bottle and it has met all my writing needs when it comes to black ink. However, I know it isn't as well behaved as today's ink. I pick and choose the paper I use with it. Here's a link to the ink: https://www.gouletpens.com/products/j...
