What is the verb "to put" in German? It doesn't have just one translation: Depending on the position in which we put something, we say "stellen," "legen," or "tun." Then, when things we've put in a place are simply "esqui" in Spanish, "les était" in German, "stehen," "liegen," or "sind" in German.
