The best place to see Lake Garda by bike is on Monte Baldo. In this video, we ride and tell you about a gravel ride on Monte Baldo, in Verona. Start and finish: Rivoli Veronese (VR) Length: 55km x 1600m elevation gain Travel time: 4h/4h 30min Recommended bike: MTB or gravel bike with 50mm or larger tires Start from Rivoli Veronese, in Veneto. After a short flat stretch towards Caprino Veronese, the route climbs first on asphalt towards Prada and then on a dirt road from Prada Alta to the summit of the Monte Baldo massif, at its southernmost point. WARNING: The dirt climb is about 2.5km long with gradients almost always around 20% (peaks at 29-30%) and the surface is loose in some sections. This route is for very fit cyclists, especially gravel bikes with at least 50mm tires and 1:1 gears, but a more agile one is better. After the climb, you'll ride at high altitude on the dirt forest roads of Monte Baldo with a breathtaking view of Lake Garda. The descent is entirely on paved roads, passing through Spiazzi (Madonna della Corona). You'll arrive in Rivoli. You can find the route on our komoot profile 'Gravellata' under Planned Tours.
