Made of Stone - Hunchback of Notre Dame (stage version)
Hunchback of Notre Dame - La Jolla Playhouse November 8, 2014 Quasi considers giving up and just letting Esmeralda burn at the stake; while the saints try to encourage him to save her. He rebukes them, thinking what do perfect saintly statues know of being deformed and the hardships of the world. In weeps he vows that going forth his heart shall be made of stone. At the end of the musical he discovers that the saints who were guiding him only look beautiful spiritually, and that in life they were as deformed as he, and that in their eyes he is beautiful.
