How to Install a Full AMD Door Skin: Chevy C10 Stepside Restoration
This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm going to show you how to install a full door skin on a 1967-1972 Chevy C10 truck. In the previous video, I warped the original door skin pretty bad while welding in a patch panel. At this point it is easier to change the entire skin than it is to try and fix the warped original skin. I ordered new skins from AMD, they are made by Tri-Plus, and I actually bought them from Speedway Motors with free shipping. The cost was $80 each, so pretty cheap compared to all the time and materials I'd have into trying to fix the original warped doors. I also bought a Door Skinning Tool from Astro Pneumatic. Its a DS1000 and works great for finishing the door skin off. I bought it off Amazon and it was about $120.
