On 8 March 2023, the UK Government introduced the long awaited update for the UK GDPR, now called the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill (https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3322) , in the House of Commons. According to the press release (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/br...) , British business will be able to save many billions of pounds when this bill becomes law, but not everybody agrees that is true.
