GUIDING LIGHT - January 2009 "The Spaulding Way"

Coop breaks the news to Buzz that he might lose Company. Frank suggests fundraisers and price changes, but it wouldn't be enough. Alan tells Buzz he's up creek. Alan returns to the mansion in search of Beth. Lillian tells Alan he needs to respect Beth's needs, and Alan counters that the best thing for Beth is to accept his marriage proposal. Beth happily tells Coop that her client took her own advice instead of Gerald Brooks advice. Coop tells Beth that Buzz is deeply in debt, and that he might lose Company. Coop calls Beth resourceful, which makes her put her resources to good use.. Alan asks why he should listen to Lillian. Beth walks in, and hatches a plan to save Company -- the Spaulding way. Beth tells Alan that he could make a profit if he were to buy Company, and Alan, taking Lillians advice, tells her that if it's important to her, it's important to him. Frank and Coop argue over ways to save Company. Buzz takes a phone call from Alan, and tells him that he'll be right over. Alan makes an offer to Buzz, which is accepted without a moments hesitation. The Coopers and the Spauldings enjoy a rare moment of celebration together, and Coop praises Beth for her bright idea.
