SKippy’s Guillow’s Fokker DR‑1 RC Conversion – Part 1 Intro & Tail Build

Hello! After a short break I’m back with another iconic WW1 aircraft — the Fokker DR‑1 Triplane, the Dreidecker made famous by the Red Baron (and later Snoopy). This is the laser‑cut version of the kit, and the wood quality is excellent, with clean parts and a really enjoyable build experience. For this project I’m using smaller, lighter electrics taken from an E‑flite Yak 54 UMX, which I’m hoping will give the DR‑1 a more successful flight performance than my S.E.5A. In this first video I introduce the build and construct the tail section, setting the foundation for the rest of the series.
