A Foamboard & Plywood SUP
I prototyped two versions of a 10' x 34" stand-up paddleboard last summer. Built from plywood, with a foamboard core, this is a sturdy craft, made to last for generations. Sure, they are substantially heavier than the blow-up ones from China, or a molded plastic one, but there is something very rewarding about paddling a SUP that you made yourself. One reason I have lapsed in my video production is because I have just finished a book on how to build it.
