In this video, we’re making the Piccolo Phone Bag - a chic, modern mini-bag designed to carry your phone, sunglasses, lip balm, passport etc This fun little bag is the perfect introduction to my design philosophy: turning unloved clothes and secondhand finds into fresh, elevated, little fashion luxuries. It has a clean, high-end look without being difficult to sew, so it’s an incredibly quick and satisfying project for advanced sewists, yet simple enough for beginners. MATERIALS & TOOLS NEEDED: Main Fabric: Leftover fabric scraps or upcycled clothing (dresses, shirts, skirts, curtains) Lining Fabric: Leftover lining from clothes or basic cotton from a shirt. Interfacing: Medium thickness regular fusible interfacing or thin fusible bag foam (from a fabric shop) Hardware: Magnet button or sew-on snap button Pattern: Regular home printer in size US Letter or A4 Tools: Standard sewing machine, steam iron, paper & fabric scissors, tape, pins without plastic heads, seam ripper, disappearing fabric marker or lead pencil, hand-sewing needle, thread.
