Our route begins at the Wuhan East Railway Station, transitioning from urban expressways to winding mountain roads. We make a stop to climb to the serene Yangshan Temple, offering a vantage point over the Daoguan River reservoir, complete with its central island and pagoda. The journey continues to a hidden, little-known peninsula on the reservoir, where we take a short hike on foot to explore the overgrown ruins of abandoned 1990s hotels, clubs, and a swimming pool before making our return trip.
