While We Wait Here wirkt auf den ersten Blick ruhig. Ein kleiner Diner irgendwo im Nirgendwo. Menschen kommen herein, bestellen Essen, reden über ihr Leben. Doch je länger man bleibt, desto mehr spürt man diese bedrückende Atmosphäre unter der Oberfläche. Jeder Gast trägt etwas mit sich herum — Zweifel, Schuld, Hoffnung oder Angst. Und während draußen langsam etwas Unheilvolles näher rückt, wird aus alltäglichen Gesprächen plötzlich pure emotionale Spannung. Dieses Indie-Spiel lebt nicht von Action oder Schockmomenten, sondern von seinen Figuren, den Entscheidungen und diesem Gefühl, dass jede Unterhaltung Bedeutung hat. Man hört zu, beobachtet, versucht zwischen den Zeilen zu lesen… und merkt irgendwann, dass man selbst Teil dieser Geschichte geworden ist. Für mein Playthrough wollte ich genau diese Stimmung einfangen: dieses langsame Unbehagen, die emotionalen Momente und die Frage, wie Menschen reagieren, wenn sie merken, dass vielleicht nicht mehr viel Zeit bleibt. Ohne große Spoiler kann ich sagen: While We Wait Here ist eines dieser Spiele, die leise anfangen… und einen trotzdem lange nicht mehr loslassen. _____________________________________________ Sometimes it’s not the monsters outside that scare us the most… but the conversations that happen when no one can leave anymore. While We Wait Here seems quiet at first. A small diner in the middle of nowhere. People walk in, order food, and talk about their lives. But the longer you stay, the more you begin to feel the heavy atmosphere hiding beneath the surface. Every guest carries something with them — doubt, guilt, hope, or fear. And while something unsettling slowly approaches from outside, ordinary conversations start turning into pure emotional tension. This indie game doesn’t rely on action or cheap scares. Instead, it shines through its characters, its choices, and the constant feeling that every conversation matters. You listen, observe, and try to read between the lines… until you realize you’ve become part of the story yourself. For my playthrough, I wanted to capture exactly that feeling: the slow-building unease, the emotional moments, and the question of how people react when they realize there may not be much time left. Without spoiling too much, I can say this: While We Wait Here is one of those games that starts quietly… but stays with you long after it’s over.
