One of Malaysia’s longest-serving and largest early childhood education system, CIC began services in Malaysia in 1997. In 1997, CIC Where Leaders Are Born, first opened its education centre in Puchong under the leadership of Qutren Nada Ahmad. In 2007, consistent growth necessitated a move from 2 education centres to more than 12 CIC education centres. CIC presented the first comprehensive and systematic Early Childhood leadership programme that was awarded with Masterclass Award in Child Enrichment Program, by Asean Retail Franchise Federation (ARFF), Global Best Brands Child Enrichment Program, and SMEs BESTBRANDS Award Product Branding Education, Pre School, Islamic Education by The BrandLaureate. This outstanding growth enabled CIC Where Leaders Are Born to take on more important roles and projects as CIC was granted the status of Malaysian Franchisor by KPDNKK, in 2009, cooperated with UPSI in 2016 and expanded further to more than 70 CIC centres together with 16 franchisees on board. In 2017, Green Bag by CIC was established to offer evergreen and unique educational products, supporting children’s learning that happen both at CIC and their home. In the same year, CIC expanded the education services to children age 7-17 years old by establishing Abedeen Academy and becoming the Top 3 Best International Schools in Kuala Lumpur. Today, CIC Where Leaders Are Born employs approximately 500 employees across the country. CIC continues to enable progress for thousands of children establish an excellent start in their lives through early education.
