The Launch of MV Glen Rosa 09/04/2024

History was made today at the Ferguson Marine yard in Port Glasgow, as Hull 802, now officially named Glen Rosa, finally enters the water after almost 8 years of construction. Named by Beth Atkinson, the launch took place on the afternoon of 09/04/2024, and not without a slight delay due to weather conditions and an issue with the mechanism to smash to bottle of whisky. After a few minutes, however, MV Glen Rosa was on her way down the slipway into the Clyde for the first time, before being assisted to the quayside by CMS Boxer, CMS Wrestler and Bruiser. Also shown are MV Glen Sannox moored at the quayside in Inchgreen, and MV Loch Tarbert, MV Hebridean Isles and MV Loch Shira moored at the James Watt Dock.
