This time I went to the beach to try my luck with the blue runners. I started off with a new 10g jig and began scanning the coast. After about 40 minutes, I felt like I had snagged something heavy that wasn't putting up a fight (I was sure it was just garbage or something.). A few seconds later, I saw something moving toward me on the surface and realized it was a cuttlefish 🦑. It’s been years since I last caught a cuttlefish, and such a big one at that! (I released it; I had no use for it). After that, I switched to a topwater lure, thinking the fish might be near the surface. First cast, and I immediately hooked into a nice blue runner. Other than that, there were no more catches, and I wrapped up another fun morning at the beach.
