Obras de Miguel Ángel en el Bargello · El Auriga del Arte
El Museo Nazionale del Bargello (Florencia) es uno de los museos de escultura renacentista más importantes del mundo. Se encuentra en el denominado 'Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo', un edificio medieval construido entre 1255 y 1320 como sede de instituciones del gobierno de la ciudad. En el siglo XVI aquí se instaló el Capitano di Giustizia o 'Bargello' (es decir, el jefe de policía), de donde proviene su nombre. Actualmente alberga una extraordinaria colección de esculturas del Renacimiento italiano (Quattrocento y Cinquecento), muchas de ellas capitales para el estudio de este periodo artístico: Donatello, Verrocchio, Della Robbia, Giambologna y, por supuesto, del genio Miguel Ángel.
