Auschwitz Zone of Interest — the place where the camp reached beyond the wire
When we think of Auschwitz, we see the gate, the wire, the ramp. But the camp did not end where the fence ended. Around it the Germans created the Interessengebiet — the Zone of Interest: about 40 square kilometres of emptied land given over to isolation, forced labour and the SS economy. A film about a place that disappeared, and the people erased from it. Educational, with respect for the victims.
