What began as a successful, fast-paced commercial illustration career gradually evolved into a parallel fine art practice rooted in intuition, process, and open-ended experimentation. Driven by a desire to push past the rigid limits and tight deadlines of design briefs, he began juggling two creative lives. Working commercial jobs by day and fine art by night. As his practice expanded, Leif navigated the friction of maintaining both careers before ultimately choosing to let one drift, creating a deeply engaging body of work that trades the quick punchiness of commercial art for the rich, beautiful ambiguity of a lifelong fine art journey.
