DIY: MODERN MACRAME WALLHANGING | LARGE MACRAME WALLHANGING PATTERN | (step by step)

Ok so, before we get started I just wanted to let you know that I was making this wallhanging for above my new bed and decided to tape my process. I had never made this pattern before, so I didn't plan on making a tutorial for this one, I just winged it and went with the flow so I made some adjustments throughout the video as this was my actual process in creating this piece. So, for this video I really encourage you to watch, listen, and read the tips and tricks I've also included throughout, and I know it's tough, but try not to skip ahead as every step is important if you want this to come out nicely. ***Note, don't make he square knots too tight as this will pull the shape inward. If it does warp a little bit just pull the sides out! (I did!) If you watch to the end I give an example of where it is an option top recut a few cords shorter that the 10feet I did for each, but make sure you a very careful and don't go overboard, there is nothing worse than spending a long time on a project only to come to the end and have cords too short to complete it! Another important note is that I used Ganxxet 3ply, 5mm rope for this project. I have never found any other supplier who's 3 ply actually fringes straight and stays that way, so that is very important! If worse comes to worse you can always try a hair straightener on the lowest setting so long as your cords are 100% cotton, and please, please , PLEASE be careful if you do decide to try.
