Eurovision 2023: My Top 100 National Final Songs

Oh man, this video has both been fun and difficult to make! I started back in December last year and it's nice to finally have it up :) I apologize for any errors that may have happened (such as misspellings of song names/artists, wrong flags, or incorrect placements). HOW THIS VIDEO WORKS & WAS MADE: I listened through all 529 songs that have competed in the national selections of Eurovision 2023, and each song that I ranked over 6/10 got added to a playlist. When I was done with all the selections, I believe I had around 130-140 songs, but I managed to narrow it down to 108 in the end after going through the list a few times song-by-song (yup, I literally listened to the entire playlist without skipping a single song - it took between 5 to 6 hours just for ONE runthrough!). Once I had my final playlist, I made this video, listened through the songs again and ranked them accordingly. Just like every year, it's been a huge but very fun project! This video represents my opinion from April 2023 (before the Eurovision live shows). Not much has changed since then, but my ranking may not correspond with how I've ranked these songs in the past or in the future. Since there's a "broader playing field", or rather a one-for-all battle, placements will be mixed up and I haven't thought "oh, I need to rank this song lower than this song because otherwise it doesn't match my Eurovision ranking/NF ranking". I have a weird way of thinking, I'm aware! But it all makes sense to me somehow 😂 WHO AM I? (last updated May 2023) I am a Swedish 26 year-old man who has followed Eurovision and Melodifestivalen for as long as I can remember, but my first memory is from 2002. I'm a member of OGAE Sweden and I even co-host a Swedish Eurovision podcast called "Sa Du Schlager?!" together with a few friends. I've been to several live shows of Melodifestivalen and I follow every national selection religiously every year. Alongside making videos on YouTube, I'm also studying to become a professional video editor. My hobbies include singing, sewing, playing video games (preferably older ones), collecting vinyl records and gardening. Music has a huge part in my life and I listen to it pretty much 24/7. Ever since 2018 I've released a weekly music chart every Monday on my Instagram titled the "Weekly Roundup", where I showcase my 7 most played songs from the previous week. I'm an all-eater when it comes to music - there aren't many genres I'm not a fan of - but pop music usually sticks to me very easily, along with the occasional rock song.
