BANGKAPOS.COM - Principals of public and private high schools (SMA) and vocational schools (SMK) in West Bangka Regency participated in an anti-corruption outreach program held by the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Region IV Education Office on Thursday (July 23, 2026). The event was also attended by treasurers and school facilities and infrastructure staff. The event featured the Head of the West Bangka District Attorney's Office, Ahmad Patoni, and his staff. The material presented focused on preventing corruption, particularly in the management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds and the revitalization budget. This event was held amidst an investigation into alleged misappropriation of BOS funds in several high schools and vocational schools in West Bangka. Ahmad Patoni stated that preliminary clarification results have not revealed any unlawful acts or state losses. Meanwhile, Yulizar, Head of the West Bangka Region IV Education Office, hopes the outreach program will improve principals' and treasurers' understanding of budget management, leading to more orderly and accountable use of BOS funds in the future.
