Do you want to seam to pieced knitted in garter stitch together vertically? Then you can easily do so using the mattress stitch. It creates a rather invisible seam that lays flat, and it's very easy to do on top of that. If you look closely at the ridges of your fabric, then you will see that they consist of little bumps. And one of them is on top, the other on the bottom. So, simply alternate going through a bottom bump on the left side and a top bump on the right side and then pull tight to close the seam. You will need a tapestry needle to do that.
