What I did not expect was to be completely taken apart by three different versions of the same song in a single sitting. 😭🤘 The Music Video hit me first — and honestly it had me hooked from the very first note. There is a ferocity to BAND-MAID that I was not ready for. This band plays like they have something to prove and it comes through in every single second. Then the Live version. I'm not going to lie to you — I got emotional. Something about seeing them perform it live, the energy in the room, the way Saiki delivers every line like she means it with her whole entire soul... I felt it somewhere deep. And then there's Miku in the background — I don't know what it is about her but I could not take my eyes off her. That version got to me in a way I genuinely did not see coming. 😅 And then the Instrumental. I don't even know how to explain this one other than to say — it is easily one of the coolest things I have ever heard in my life. No exaggeration. Hearing the full arrangement stripped of everything except the musicianship? These women are on another level entirely.
