Even with diplomatic efforts, the scenario remains sensitive for energy, inflation, and risk appetite. We will also talk about inflation in the United States. In May, the CPI rose 0.5% in the month and accumulated 4.2% in 12 months, while the core CPI, which excludes food and energy, advanced 0.2% in the month and 2.9% in 12 months. These data help explain why the market is still cautiously monitoring the Fed's next steps. In Brazil, the focus is on two important points: the labor market and inflation. The Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD Contínua) showed an unemployment rate of 5.6% in the quarter ending in May 2026, while the average real income was R$ 3,726. Meanwhile, the IPCA (Consumer Price Index) for May rose 0.58%, accumulating 4.72% over 12 months, according to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). And how does all this affect REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts)? The answer lies in the yield curve, expected inflation, and risk appetite. When inflation, the labor market, and the external scenario remain under pressure, the market begins to question the pace of the Selic (benchmark interest rate) cut. This directly affects the IFIX (Brazilian Real Estate Investment Fund Index), paper funds, real estate funds, and the relative attractiveness of real estate funds compared to fixed income.
