Mackie SRM450v2 SMPS Repair guide Basic. I made a mistake, the 18 volts for the PFC comes from a secondary coil on the PFC transformer after it has started. The SMPS then starts. The SMPS also supplies 18 volts I used YouTube video editor to remove a section of video, I see the sound and video are out of sync. The diode for the pfc ground is the Anode, not cathode. Have some confidence and you will save yourself a fortune, see this clever guy in Sweden • Repair Mackie SRM-450 V2 I missed a few points, the PFC does supply 18 volts to drive itself, the resistors will get hot if the SMPS does not start. The SMPS will not start if the PFC has not started.
