Cacti Care Tips — Plant One On Me — Ep 032

Thirty two weeks ago I launched Homestead Brooklyn’s Plant One On Me, an informal question-and-answer series on all your green home and gardening tips. After doing a couple episodes on succulents, I got a few queries about cacti, so instead of me talking about cacti, I thought I’d go to the source and visit my friend Richard’s cacti and succulent greenhouse. Even though he’s semi-retired, Richard shows off his full-of-character cacti every Saturday (during the warm season) at the McCarren Park Greenmarket. If you see him—be sure to stop by, say “hi” and get a cool cacti from him. In this episode, he tours us around his greenhouse, gives us the major cacti care tips, and even belts out some tunes.
