MRUV 134: Roundhouse Area Work- Scenery & Details

Happy New Year! Since I posted a Christmas Day update, I thought it was only proper to also post one on New Year's Day. I continued working in the Roundhouse area. I installed Shorty's machine shop, which I show and also describe the modifications/additions I made to the structure. The area behind the roundhouse was made ready for scenery and the initial layer of ground covering is in place. I also took a leap of faith and decided to paint/weather the Walther's turntable bridge. I very carefully masked all critical areas and gave it a quick coat of a Rustoleum "grimy black" Primer. I then weathered with chalks and after adding a figure installed the operator shed. For possible future use I did add a means to connect to the top of the arch for electric power lines. I did some other detailing and scenery items, slowly working down the engine service area.
