Half a year later in Frankfurt Suzuki launched the production Baleno. Interesting bit is the Dualjet SHVS hybrid system. SHVS stands for smart hybrid vehicle by Suzuki. SHVS is not a classic hybrid, like in a Toyota Prius. If you want to impress your friends you can tell them it’s more like KERS from F1. Kinetic energy recuperated during deceleration is stored in batteries under the front seats, and used to power AC, when the engine shuts off, to turn the engine back on, and then to aid the engine during acceleration. However at the car is never powered solely by electric energy.
