We do not intend hate in our videos but awareness of the power and impact that social media has in general." -askwhatever DISCLAIMERS: ✰ For the fancam views, we only counted the views from their live performances on four major music programs in South Korea which are Mnet M Countdown, KBS Music Bank, MBC Show! Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo. Not all of the girls’ fancam videos were uploaded on YouTube. So, we only chose the ones where each of their videos on that specific show and date were uploaded thus we computed for the total accumulated views for this. ✰ For the teaser images, we compiled all of their individual teaser images from their official Twitter account @aespa_official and computed for the average likes per photo for equal comparison. ✰ For the brand reputation ranking, all rankings came from the Korean Business Research Institute which releases the official monthly brand reputation rankings including the total accumulated points of a particular idol during that month. ✰ For the Instagram posts, we compiled ALL of the posts of each of the members of aespa per era from their official Instagram account @aespa_official. We cannot obviously use the total number of likes for comparison because not all members post the SAME NUMBER of photos on IG. We instead computed the average likes per post for better and equal comparison. ✰ For the Google searches, we provided the breakdown of searches for the top 5 Asian and Western countries with the most K-Pop fans. WORLDWIDE Google searches means the combination of searches in ALL countries in the world. Searches in countries which uses different characters (i.e., Hangul in South Korea) STILL yields the same results. Our Google searches data came from the official GOOGLE website. ✰ Sales index is used to analyze and track REVENUE or the total INCOME generated by the sale of goods of a company. Thus even if it is only sales index, it still is a good representation of the amount of money generated from the sale of a particular good and in this case represented by a certain K-Pop idol for the whole company.
