A Kodak Retina IIc camera, and a tale of woe.
A local customer of mine bought a Retina IIc believing it had been serviced by me two years ago based on what the seller had told him, and from some guessing on my customer's part, but unfortunately for him, that proved to not be the case. When it failed on him promptly, he brought it to me to repair. The symptoms suggested a failed shutter-cocking rack. There was little evidence anyone had serviced the camera, in any significant way, in some decades, and certainly not me. The only service sticker dates back to the sixties. It was very dirty indeed inside.
