Living for Logging - The Dale Ewers Story

Dale Ewers along with his wife Christine are founders and co-owners of DC Equipment who are determined to make the forestry a safer, more productive industry. In conjunction with Dales logging and harvesting business Moutere Logging, Dale along with his logging crew managers identified that the majority of the injuries were people in high-risk and manual positions. Together, the team made the commitment to fully mechanise the logging crews due these risks. Unable to find existing mechanised solutions, Dale and the DC Equipment team have been making a range of purpose build forestry equipment which is utilised and distributed across 3 continents. Dale is continuing to build on his vision of a Zero Harm industry which fuels his innovative ideas and solutions that has ultimately made the industry a safer more productive sector. Further to this, Dale has also identified and developing key opportunities for improvement within the environmental aspects of forestry including lowering emissions and soil disturbance and management.
