Hymn Tune "Agnes" by Edward Bunnett (1834 - 1923)

Edward was the hus­band of Em­ma Eliz­abeth Mc­Gow­an (mar­ried 1890). He was a cho­ris­ter at Nor­wich Ca­thed­ral start­ing in 1842. In 1849, he be­gan stu­dy­ing the or­gan, ar­ti­cled to Ze­cha­ri­ah Buck. He was Buck’s as­sist­ant or­gan­ist 1855–77. He gra­du­at­ed from Cam­bridge Uni­vers­ity (MusB 1857, MusD 1869), and in 1870 be­came a Fel­low in the Col­lege of Or­gan­ists. He served as or­gan­ist first at St. Pe­ter’s Man­croft; then as Bo­rough Or­gan­ist (1880); and played at the Lowe­stoft Pier Con­certs that be­gan in 1890. He con­duct­ed the Nor­wich Mu­sic­al Un­ion, and played the or­gan at the Nor­wich Mu­sic­al Fes­tiv­al for ov­er two de­cades, start­ing in 1872.
