Selfish has a bad connotation, but everyone could benefit from you considering you first. When understanding why someone would deserve to be more selfish, we tend to think that living only for others assures we become depressed and unfulfilled. This is true. Living for others is an easy way to ignore the responsibility of independent action, but that's not what we are discussing in this video. This discussion highlights selfishness as an objectively effective method to improve the quality of life for you and everyone else. Selfishness may prove to be a route for astonishing works and interpersonal happiness, but first, you must adopt a healthy framework. Any condition unregulated will yield an extreme result. We must find the balance of self-interest that satisfies our well being, but never impedes the prosperity of others.
