Can Adidas Climacool 3D Survive Our Shoe Lab?

Adidas' new shoe, Climacool, combines new innovations in 3D printing and cutting-edge style. But does how long does it last? To answer this question, Heeluxe put the Climacool through our proprietary testing protocol for casual shoes, measuring the cushioning, fit, and durability. The fit testing used the SmartLast system to measure fit and compare it to our casual shoe database. Cushioning testing is performed with our Hulk Impact tester (ASTM 1976F). The star of this test is Heeluxe's Time Machine. This machine replicates a 170lb person walking at 2.8 miles an hour. The custom-made feet have the same shape and movement as a real human foot. The Mileage Forecasting test includes 100 miles of walking on the machine then projections on how long the cushioning and traction will last. This testing also includes inspections to find areas of breakage in the shoe.
